Well since you posted this in SV cooking, then I'm thinking your wondering if a SV would be a good gift.
The answer is definitely yes, for the money spent, it is probably the best gift you could give a chef or just one of us guys who like's to cook! BTW, I have 2 of them!

Kind of depends on what you want to spend. An SV circulator is a great choice. My last new toy was an Instant Pot pressure cooker. Thermometers are nice, a Grill Beast Marinade Injector is reasonably priced. Then there are the high end outdoor toys like smokers and pellet grills...JJ
