A chest freezer is a great place to "lose" stuff. While organizing mine to make room for fresh corn, I found a tri-tip that was "lost" in the bottom and said to myself that thing is going to get some smoke and a reverse sear.
So thawed it out and trimmed it up some...
A great member on here had sent me a Kinder's gift box. In it was a Smoked Onion rub which has quickly become a favorite around here. So seasoned up the tri-tip...
On a Weber to smoke. At about 120℉, moved it over the fire to sear then pulled to rest...
Fresh peaches are everywhere and we love them grilled. Rubbed with a little EVOO and on they went to get some char...
Another side was roasted asparagus with parmesan cheese...
And smashed potatoes...
Tri-tip has rested for about 20 minutes...
Some Texas toast and it's time to eat...
I need to dig around in the freezer some more and see what else is "lost" in there...
