Nice. How did you set the coals under it. I have a Lodge pan like that.

I ran a row of coals from left to right about 7 inch wide 3 - 4 brickets high.

Align you webber grate handles so they sit above no coals and the Lodge will fit right in.

It gets HOT so dont think its cooling off any time soon! I bet you could run 100 burgers before this thing cools!

I have to try this.

Turning the greatest grill ever made into a griddle! I like it! Fine job!

Thanks! I thought of this while at work (slow day) and TJ max had the Lodge for 26.00...

I cant wait to do Philly cheese steaks! Glad I could contribute to the great ideas on this site!

Well mine is a old one. Very little lip around the sides and no handles.

Burgers look good!
Philly cheese steaks on the Weber sounds awesome!!!

Looks really good Zippy, I like the idea. I'd enjoy one minus the fungus(can you tell I hate shrooms). Looks like a good smash burger utensil also.

Point for sure.

Great Idea , just watch you don't lose a bunch of grease on the coals .

I have been making burgers in a CI pan for ever, they just taste better to me than when you put them on the grate.
But I cheat, I use the side burner on my gas grill!

My Dad was a propane grill man. That said I have no issues with people and propane, but I converted to charcoal in my 20's and never looked back to propane. Its like cilantro some people love it and others don't like the taste!

I have converted 2 people I know to charcoal in the last year and they are much happier ;)...
