wind was so crazy here last night it blew the hot tub cover completely off and broke one of the locks. Now 2 nice rips in the cover.
Been there a couple times . Break the locks , or pull the screws out of the body . Bent the lift bar one time .

yeah, got to get some blue duct ape for the rips, only replaced it about 9 months ago. Got so water logged we could barely lift 1 side.

I will put heavy boards just on the edges to help keep the lid from wanting to lift. know it doesn't look to nice, but it helps

Look in the sandpaper area at a big box store . They sell " structural " duct tape . Comes in clear . I'm not kidding that stuff works . Holds tight in moisture too , if it gets applied to the surface when its dry .

Ratchet straps and eye bolts lagged into the bottom 2X's .
If I did not get lazy and clip all 4 locks I probably would have been OK. I was just rushing to go out to a brewery to see my brothers band play. I thought the high winds were for later today and not last night.

-1 here this morning in Middle TN. The power to the entire neighborhood has been cycling every 10 minutes, or so since around 3 this morning. Thankfully the streets or OK (like I'm going anywhere)!

Hang in there Jake. Not fun in TN right now.

Ours is coming tonight and be around until Tuesday.
Not as extreme as what's being reported here, but still dramatic.
Amen not like north but is 34 right now with 15-20 mph winds and I've still got to go out and do a couple things. They say the wind chill is 25 right now and that by 7pm we will be below freezing. Would like to finish outside stuff but waiting to lock the chickens in and turn on the heat lamps for them stupid things are still running around
