Not in the Central Virginia area, FYI. In fact brisket didn't even show up in a search for me except for corned beef online Kroger.

somehow they re never that cheap in Colorado.

Not sure if you guys saw that that Kroger coupon location swap thread but I tried it and it really works problem is they don't stock brisket at my location.

just saw my local kroger here in north texas has briskets on sale for $1.97/lb usda choice untrimmed. gonna stock up my freezer for they year, thought some of you guys might wanna do the same.

In my dreams!

I picked one up at the Sherman Kroger. They have butter for $2.50 but it was all gone! I been waiting on a sale for a while now. That stuff has gotten expensive.

Man, you Texas guys get all the good stuff. Kroger affiliate here still has choice brisket packers for $4.99 lb. I can get prime at Costco for less than that.

I only get them at Costco. got a prime last week for $4.29/lb or something close to that. I live in a small mtn town...the kroger doesnt carry many if any to choose from. so if Im gonna drive to the big city, its Costco.

7.89 a pound yesterday at BJ's up this way. Nope
$7.99 at the BJ's here and that's generally considered cheap.

The last time I smoked a brisket (point) I found it on "sale" for $5.99/lb...needless to say I haven't smoked a brisket in a couple of years!

About the same here. I've also noticed that some of the butchers are separating the point from the flat, and then splitting the flat down the middle. You can never find just the point, but the half flats are plentiful.

Chris

They (kroger) have 10 in stock, but at 4.99/lb. I asked the Mgr if he could do 1.99/lb and I'll buy all 10 of them.
I got a big sorry but no.
