Bear Jr’s “Bandsaw Box” (Wife’s Christmas Present)

I know this doesn’t have anything to do with Smoking or Cooking, but I’m so proud of this one, I had to show it here.

While Bear Jr was busy making a Live Edge Table, Bar, and Shelves for a Customer, he was secretly making this “Bandsaw Jewelry Box”, for Bethany (his wife). I don’t know what all wood was used, but there are at least 4 Species in there. He lined the inside of the drawers with the same stuff I used on a Jewelry Box I made in 10th Grade. I also used it on the skulls of some Buck Racks I’ve mounted. It’s called Suede-Tex—You just Paint where you want the “Felt”, and while it’s wet, squirt the Fibers all over it. When the Paint is Dry, you knock the loose fibers off & what is left is like a nice smooth coating of Felt or Velvet wherever the Paint was.

On Edit: I just got the Species List---The Woods used were "Black Walnut", "Cherry", "Maple", and "Sassafras", With "Purple Heart" and "Red Heart" Stripes used in the Weaves.

Enjoy the Pics,

Bear
