I just wanted to say thanks to everyone-I have learned a lot of great info getting started.

Here's my first smoker efforts-hope you enjoy the pics.

I'm using a Master Forge vertical propane smoker.

My 2 first fatties-I'm hooked for life!

The one on top is JD Maple/Swiss Cheese/Granny Smith Apple

The bottom is JD Maple/Corned Beef Hash

Breakfast Fatty with an egg on top. McD's got nothing on that!

Glad to have you with us!

Your Q looks awesome!

Great job!

Thanks guys, appreciate the welcome.

Craig-thanks for the links, I've looked through almost all of them-great info.

Terry-Since I'm just starting out, I only used KC Masterpiece with a bit of honey mixed in applied just at the the end more for color then taste-the skin was pretty rubbery.

The rub was McCormick Smokehouse maple-I got a hankering for it when grilling out.

This weekend will be Babybacks and a homemade rub.

Welcome to the SMF. Glad to have you here. Lots of good folks, great recipes and knowledge.
