Well for the 2nd day we have been fighting wildfires. our homes and lives.

Set by a neighbour who is trying to burn out haunting spirits. (yep)

To each his own I say , but he spent 17 yrs in the pen.

Do stupid people really breed? I just want to work, rest and smoke my meat.

Im not ( I Hope ) ....... Well when do we address mental illness as not a criminal offence, but stupidity?

When does stupidity become criminal? When can criminal become stupidity?

2 times in one day fire departments responded to his place to put out large fires. he is nowhere to be found until they leave.

Yesterday afternoon he set it up again and ran. He did emerge from the woods when he saw 2 forestry dozer’s trenching his property and building burms to threaten to sue them. 

in the last year he has burned his house to the ground. 3 months later we were awoken by a 200 ft fireball from a "meth lab" explosion that disintegrated a barn on his property.

A month ago the camper he was living in burned to the ground in the middle of the night. and now 3 calls to put out the 2 acre fire he keeps setting.

We live in a heavily wooded area which is all privately owned and thick with underbrush. We currently have no burn ban even though it has not rained in a few weeks. So technically he has broken no laws, but they have given him a date to set in front of a magistrate to repay the county and state for the resources they have expended.

We thank the responders for keeping the issue contained.

Man I fill for you. I spent 15 years in a volunteer fire dept. some of that time as Chief. We had people as well that we will say we're not stable. But as u say they didn't break any laws so our hands were tied we just did our job when the time came Good luck and be safe my friend

We are currently pushing law enforcement to go in front of a magistrate and ask for him to be mentally evaluated. Mental illness is hard with our current laws to treat or detain someone. As he is a convicted felon it shouldnt be that tough. Jail is not a solution for people like this. It makes it worse.

With all the talk of gun control now, are we really focussing on the correct issue? Should we not be putting more resources towards treating people such as this? We know now that "Meth, and other abused drugs " cause mental instability, but we are not discussing going after pharmaceutical companies such as firearm manufacturers. 

It is right that it should take a lot to temporarily remove some ones rights so they can be treated for a mental illness, but we can no longer wait until something bad happens before those who have problems are removed from society and treated.

My rant........ I just dont want my home burned to the ground. It really hurts a family.
