These 18, 3-oz. packages will be joining 11 other 3-oz. packages in my deep freeze. All were made with beef, eye-of-round which is my favorite meat for making jerky.

After trying several other companies seasoning packets (Nesco, TSM, etc.) I came back to my old stand-by seasoning packets from www.OwensBBQ.com. I especially like the original, hickory and mesquite flavor packets as a base marinade/seasoning that I typically "jazz up" with garlic, garlic-pepper, chipotle, chili powder/cumin, etc. To "jazz things up" only takes about 1 or 2 tablespoons of extra seasoning added to the flavor packet.

I am set for deer season and beyond.

It's gettin' that time for me too. I only have a couple pkgs left in freezer.
Have not used eye-of round, been using bottom-round. Will check store next trip.
