Thanks! I see that if I enter the list of forums, but not if I'm out on the main page. Anyway, I found it, but seems like it needs some tweaking.

Oh I see, yes you're right. That's missing from the main "what's new" page. @PERuss can this be on the what's new page? Or is it tethered to posting in the particular forum you're on?

I'm able to do the tag with @ + username. 🤔
I must have been in a glitch. works now. Sorry about that.

The alerts clear after I look at the first one. Is that true for everyone?

Thanks for all the effort that went into this.

I also preferred the old 'spinner' or 'carousel' format at the top of the page. The 'featured' photos now are too small (Chrome or Safari) to really show what's there.

As far as the white (or light) background-I have found that if I turn down the brightness on my computer screen, the white background is tolerable... not as harsh on the eyes, and I can read everything.

Also if you have the ability to adjust the color temperature it can make a major difference. I don't use Windows or Mac so not sure how that would be done but in my Linux distro's desktop environment it is very easy.

Over all, the transition is very well thought out.
Yes it will take some time to get used to the new format, but that is nothing new. Nobody likes change, but like everything else in life we will learn to deal with it.
I personally don't use 3/4s of the features anyhow, so the change isn't a big deal to me. I like to keep things simple, and I'm still able to do so with the new format, good job tech team!!!

By default, they would dim without active notifications. It's pretty clear when you have alerts so I've removed that dim. I also agree, having them a little larger is nicer. Working on that now as well.
Much better now . Thanks .

I've made a little adjustment here. Light mode was definitely easier to spot read/unread. Both dark and light use bolded titles for unread, but dark will use a slightly brighter color now for unread threads/forums. Should help.

@PERuss, Thanks for that adjustment..

The other thing I asked about is when on the light style... When opening the alert pop-up window the line seperating read/unread could really use to be much darker... Unread brightness/brighter white while the read ones could use to be much dimmer/darker... Meaning the whole box not so much as the font... Really diffucult for me to tell the two (read/unread) apart...

A big thanks to both of y'all and as well as the whole team...

Could use some improvements there! I should be able to work on those bits tomorrow.

Not sure if other people are experiencing this but for me when I visit the site and see that there are multiple notifications, lets use 3 as an example. If all three are replies to a thread(s) and not reactions when I click on one notification in the drop down menu the numbers disappear when there should be a 2 indicating I have to more unread replies to read.

No big deal but it is a change.

@normanaj, I think that will happen when all the notifications are from a single source or thread. (Or from the same private conversation/chat).

I have no way to dim the brightness on my Kindle. My only issue, otherwise very clean looking. Nice work team . . .

@Abigail4476 or other Admins. When I click on the alerts bell, the list appears, then the number of new alerts disappears and the all say mark as unread.

I messed with the custom alert setting this morning and changed the "pop-up auto-read" to "alert". will that fix this, or what setting do I need to change?

Many thanks

I think that change in preferences works. I only got one alert alert since, but when i hit the drop down it said mark as read. Which is what I wanted.
