Pick up some Tuna steaks at Sams' Club, these are really thin

Not many pics had to work quick, used the warming rack off my gas grill

Took this pic this morning

Only took about 4 minutes to cook these

Plated with some M&C with a little Rice

Thanks for looking

I don'y have anything that gets hot enough (Gas or Charcoal grills), but I have a Chimney, Gotta remember that when I get some Tuna Steaks.

My Son used to make it hot & fast like that with his Super-Hot Grill, but Mine never could get that hot.

Thanks Richie!!

That's a good idea, richie! I never thought of searing like that. I only have a small charcoal grill and a chimney (no gas grill anymore)

I'll have to remember this for a SV sear.

Thanks.

Great idea Richie how much charcoal did you have in the chimney ? Must not been much and for sure tuna doesn't take long to cook. Looks like you were right on the money for done.

Warren The chimney is what they call a 3 quarter,so it is a little shorter. You may need a few more pieces of charcoal

Your chimney looks about the size I have the new ones I've seen in the stores is very large compared to mind look like they could hold 1/2 bag charcoal.
