Well my wife graduated with her doctorate in pharmacy this past Friday so we had a little celebration after the ceremony at our house. We did ribs and a whole bunch of salads and fruit. I  had started a thread  a while  back  about presmoking my ribs the night before reheat them so I didn't have to get up so early on the day of the ceremony. Well I did a 2-2 on the ribs and  for the first time I  put them in a foil pan covered in tinfoil instead of just putting them individually in tinfoil. It worked great and  only had to use one pan instead of several foil packets. On Friday I just threw them on the top rack of my grill on low heat and put a bit of BBQ sauce on them to warm them up and then put them back  in the foil in the oven on 175 degrees to keep them warm. They were really tender (almost to much for my liking) but that is what everyone loves around here. I will definitely be using a metal pan for my ribs in the future.

The best part of the whole day was as we were finishing up eating  the hospital called and offered my wife the job she has been interviewing for. So we got to celebrate even more. It was a great day and there is a  lot of stress lifted now that we know she has a job and we don't have to move out of town. Here is some Qview.

Ribs all rubbed and ready for the smoker. I rubbed and smoked them after work on Thursday night so I  didn't let them sit in the rub over night like usual and I couldn't tell a difference at all.

After two hours on the smoker and now getting rubbed with some butter,  brown sugar and honey and going  into the foil for another two hours. I had the racks cut in half so they would fit easier.

All foiled and ready for  the two  hour nap.

They are coming off after their two hours and going into the fridge for the night. I was so busy on Saturday getting everything ready that I forgot to take a picture of the ribs when they were finished. I also forgot to take a picture of the corn and chicken I did on the grill.

Everyone raved about the ribs so that made me feel good especially because I wasn't sure how they were going to turn out since I had never smoked them the day before and reheated them the next day.

On Saturday we decided to make brunch on my new Wok so I cooked up some hash browns and some eggs with jimmy deans, onions, mushrooms and garlic.

Here's the jimmy deans and onions.

Ross what a great weekend. Congrats to your wife. Give her a big hug from all of us here. Great looking qview too.  Gonna fire up my wok this AM with some Chorizo and eggs

congrats to the wife   must be nice to have your own private pharmacist  love that wok!

i agree with the pan and use them always over foil  you can pour a good amount of juice in there without worrying about spills

Thanks guys! Now I'm off fishing for the afternoon. The wife just got a new pink fishing pole that has LED's in the reel so when she cranks the LED's lights up. I think she is  excited. haha
