She's been itching to get on the Pit Boss that was left here at the new place by the previous owners, so after church we stopped and grabbed some spare ribs. She wanted to do them as party ribs, so here we go!

Cut them up and seasoned with our Ribee-Kiy-Yay blend.

About 90 minutes in, alongside some corn.

Time to pull them for the next step.

And into a foil pan with some butter, more of the Ribee blend, and some of Franklin's Original Sauce cut with some agave and apple juice.

And done. With a baked potato and ear of corn.

She said if she had to rate herself, she'd give it an 8, because it's off a pellet grill and not an off-set. 11 years old and she's already a purist 😆 🤣 😂

Wow! That's awesome! Lifetime skills right there!
Great photos too!

Thanks, she's been improving so quickly I took up photography because it won't be long until she's the chef in the family...gotta find my new calling. 😆
Looks like you're well on your way! Someone has to take photos of all the trophies!

Love it. These are the memories that will last forever.

Great job was done here.

Thanks, she says she's now ready to attempt her first solo brisket. Depending on the weather (we're in the path of the tropical storm this coming weekend) I may let her loose on one this Saturday.

Awesome times! A bunch of dads here are proud of her... that smile says alot!
But can I be there the first time a new boyfriend boasts of his bbq skills?

Showed this to my 6yo. He's very jealous and wants to start cooking like her. Whoa bro, she's got a few years on. Also I'm not as good at it as um some people. Maybe I'll bribe him with good grades equals more cooking. Maybe do a cook with him for his school? (Smaller private school).

She's been at it since she was about 5...never too young to get them started. Did her first kid's competition at 9 and has been hooked on competitions ever since. Best of luck to you and your little guy.

6 Yr. old Chef !
Start small, something easy for a child.
I would suggest Pork chops smoked, Baked Yams or Potatoes?
Vegs Corn on the cobb ?
AS he gains interests suggest a Next level meal ?
Once he has mastered a meal he is Comfy with?
Pulled Pork would be an excellent School cook!
Put on rolls top with cheese. and maybe Slaw, beans ?
The kids can learn how to make their own plate with some adult help?
Then Maybe a School Cook ?
What will happen slowly is Muscle Memory cooking.
Will learn how to prep what works. Meat prep, Spices, ect.
Temperature levels for each food
Timing of how long to cook, with a Thermo.
Back in the day, learned all this from Scouts over an open fire.
Later helped My Dads businesses in the kitchen.
Sorry for the LOOONG Rant ?
