Yep. Totally unlike the Maverick I replaced with it. Had to reread the instructions for the Mav every time I used it.

I'm a sucker for thermometers. I've got high end, middle and cheap. ThermoWorks Smoke X2, ThermoPro TP20 and Inkbird IRF-4S. The one I use the most, hands down, is the TP20. The only time I use the Smoke X2 is when using with the Billows for really long cooks. The Inkbird is still in the box. Like many others, I got a killer deal on it through this forum.
Instant reads, I have them out the wazoo!

Yep. I forgot to mention this in my comments. Every time I use the Maverick, I have to re-read the instructions. Nothing intuitive about it. Also, the instructions for the XR-40 and the ET-733 are different!
