The only knock on Boston was their second album sounded too much like their first. I agree their first album was excellent. It's my humble opinion the greatest Rock studio album (non-live and non-greatest hits) is Boston's self-titled debut album.
Babylon By Bus is also great. All live Bob Marley material with good sound quality is worth a listen. Just another obsessive hobby like smoking meat. Now that I am retired I have the time to go see and record artists I like (as long as they are still alive) wherever I want except when two or more are playing in different places at the same time. Now THAT'S immersing yourself in it! Is this professional or hobby interest?
You mentioned Bob Marley live. For anyone who cares I think Babylon By Bus is the best because it has the bass most of the records dont have. The earlier records were kind of tinny, Babylon By Bus gives some of those songs new life.
When I was a teenager I was given the George Strait box set and it was one of the greatest gifts I've ever received. Why? The great music but also the memories to be made riding around on country roads, back roads, and just living life in a small town with not much to do. It had an amazing song for every situation.
