Appetite For Destruction

Never needed to hit shuffle or skip when I got it on CD. I had no telling how many copies between cassette and CD.

BMG - if you know, you know - never had to save up to buy an album, and you could have as many copies of anything you wanted. It was kind of like pirating before Napster lol

Just shows an open mind...or lack of commitment:emoji_laughing:
Aint that the truth. Although I dont pay for a music subscription. My zeal for pirating and music compilations has left me with skills! One of the things I hated most before the modern methods of getting music was spending money on an album based on the radio song...and the rest of the album turned out to suck...or at least be nothing like the song I bought it for.

I hated fast forwarding, etc. with cassettes so as soon as the double cassette recorders were available I began making my own compilations, ridding myself of those awful songs bands used to fill albums with. That led to CD compilations, even ripping songs from cassette to mp3 in the early days. I had a 200 CD carousel on my stereo filled mostly with compilations...I thought that was the shiznit!

Fast forward and what a great time we live in for music. With a little effort, we can have customizable digital mp3 compilations. You can buy a single song these days and actually, withstanding commercials, you can listen to whole albums for free to find what you like on Spotify, etc.. For me, its just as easy as opening up Audacity, starting a song on Spotify, clicking record and within the time frame of the song, I have it. Then I can trim off useless long intros, outros, stuff in the middle of a song that is a waste of my time and jam, etc..

After all that, I can open up MP3Gain and jack the decibels up to 95 and I have run all my MP3s through that to balance all volume levels across my entire collection. There is player software that can do this to original mp3s but for the apps I've used, they dont really work that well for me. I still get significant volume differences with unadjusted mp3s.

So yea, no subscriptions for me! I could start my collection playing continuously on track 1 and not hear the same song for well over a week. All my handpicked collection!

Let us not forget easy listening, I didn't have a Chevy van, but I did have a Ford. My dad hated it, and made me park it in the street.

Part of life in the 70s, and mostlty a safe means of travel

and who could forget Linda. The Eagles wouldn't be a group without this lovely lady.

Finally who can forget Boo
