What in the Sweet Baby Jesus is going on? Meat prices.

Bought a 1 lbs piece of skirt steak at Wallyworld this morning. It was reduced to sell at $7.08 down from $12.38 (per pound) ......... for skirt steak! WOW.

There are some bargains around here and there but not many.

Looks like we'll have some Argentine beef to check out soon. It was considered the top tear of beef while I was working in Peru & Bolivia. Very good, grass fed.

I just dont eat as much beef these days. When I do buy it, I will get it at Costco so at least the crazy cost will be applied to my executive account dividend.

I ended up eating Beef for over a week straight. Got that $1.99 ground beef from HEB and that was some of the best I had in a while. Made sloppy Joes and a couple burgers. Tri-Tri also on sale for $5 lb and got several meals out of it than some beef Pho from some of the Tri-Tip sliced before it cooked. Almost got beefed out.

The Kitty here in the Carolina's will be running chuck for 5.99 lb.

last week they ran f@$kin top round for 7.99/lb - criminal.

I got OT on my part time gig last check, trying to bank up for what will hopefully be a reasonable rib roast sale here in another couple of weeks, but a good portion will put some chucks in the freezer at that price.......

I wasn't worth half a tin spit after an 82 hour week, but mans gotta eat. It's rough when you don't like chicken very much
