Not by a long shot . Weaned on MD 20/20 and Annie Green springs .
Maybe some Strawberry fields on an off day .
Oh damn. Now that takes me back to high school. I've tasted every one of those in both directions. Did you guys have Richards Tripple Peach? Stronger and cheaper than good old Mogan David and tasted like peach flavored battery acid.

My friends were fans of the Mad Dog and the Wild Rose through high school. I was always a smoker. Didn't really start drinking till drug test started. LoL

To funny Cliff. When I went to college we made roads trips to NY to buy our Gennies. They were much cheaper. I got the squirts a few times, but it wasn't the brand of the beer as much as the quantity.

Chris
We used to road trip to Kingston, Canada to pick up the Brodors and Molsen XXX as they where the "high test" of beers back then. Normal beer in College was cheap Old Milwaukee and then Matilda bay wine coolers were the thing...lol

Still a great fan of " dos equis " , Crown /water pulls a close second.
Rolling Rock is usually in the fridge also.

Good tasting stuff, although I'm usually looking for the highest ABV dark more regional or local draft beer when out. I dont drink a lot of beer at home, I love it but it loads up in my stomach after a few.

My dad always orders the Modelo Negra in Mexican restaurants. He's from Appalachia originally and still has a bit of the hillbilly accent...I cringe every time he orders hoping he says it right! He's not racist, he just cant talk right!...especially now at 81 years old...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I seem to remember it bieng "Negro" like 40 years ago? Did Modelo go "Woke" at some point? "Negro" is the masculine Spanish for black, "Negra" is the feminine Spanish for black, so they both work, but did they need to get rid of that "toxic masculinity"? :emoji_confounded:

I switch to a bourbon/whiskey after I eat supper. I prefer the middle to low shelf higher proof stuff. So I look for the BiB/small batch
That's pretty much me. I'm weaning off opioids from my hernia surgery yesterday just so I can get back to my bourbon! I'd rather have more pain...and the bourbon! Bourbon after dinner till sleepy-time; and usually vodka, carbonated water and squeeze of lime before dinner for me. All the inexpensive stuff, As much as I usually drink I'd be in the poor-house with $60 a fifth bourbon...and honestly, someone gave me a bottle of Maker's Mark last Christmas and I actually like my Evan Williams black, bottom shelf, better.

I keep upper shelf stuff on hand for company, the only time I treat myself to it!
Actually I'm the complete opposite.
It never makes a difference to me. I'm so old and well-pickled I only get a hangover the next morning If I used viagra the day before! Gotta remember that stuff opens up blood flow to the brain too!:emoji_astonished::emoji_disappointed:

Ahhh...a fellow friend of "The Kind"! I like the double entendre of your handle.

We drank Mad Dog as kids because the bottle was flat and you could stuff it down your pants. Moved on to Boone's Farms (less potent but more drinkable) when I "grew up" to age 15 and started working construction on a work permit and the hippies I used to catch a ride to the site with would buy me stuff as I paid for the gas and THEIR beer for the ride home. My how times have changed...the trouble we, especially they would get in to today...

By the time I was 21 I was already traveling internationally and taught (I was youngest of the team) how to order surf and turf and all the cocktails you could drink on the expense account! Ruined me for Jack Daniels...rock-gut stuff to me now, far worse than Evan Williams 1 or 2 shelves down.

LOL, Sounds like me overhead paging a person at work. Her name is Tam-pun, and I'm always afraid I'm going to say Tampon.

Tonight I'm way too far into a good night (safe at home hanging with the little man). Currently being given beer by the 4yo (self trained honestly not by me) beer master. If he even thinks I'm empty grabs daddy another. Not sure if I siting be proud or worried.

I think at age 4 it wasn't safe to leave a partial can of beer sit around our son!
