I know a lot of you are probably going out to brunch or lunch or supper. But for the rest of you all What’s cookin today?

We are doing lobster tails with Picanha along with pasta in a butter garlic, lemon wine sauce. The lobster is kinda special because those bugs don’t live anywhere within 1200 miles of us.

My wife made it really easy for me... yesterday she didn't know what she wanted to eat today. Until I showed her the bacon wrapped dill pickles someone just posted the other day. She just asked if they were done yet! I would give whoever posted that credit but I can't remember who it was.

My wife is pretty funny, she said " I'll i want, is homemade bread". Later she decided Greek panini's and tater tots sounds great lol. So we're doing that.

It was good , and they were all happy they did not have to cook. And I was happy to find the time to do it . Between yard work and painting up the boat and building a motor stand. Just love days off, ha ha

My wife has mostly sworn off beef and pork. She will occasionally eat pulled pork, or a chuck roast fixed in the crockpot.

I mostly cook for me, and she cooks for her. Chicken is her main protein, and we just had it.

Blows my mind that she doesn't find a nice steak the least bit interesting. Oh well, more steak for me.

Reverse sear filet. 225 on the RT trailblazer then seared on the Bullseye.
Hi !
Happy Mother Day to everyone!
Remember on our Honeymoon, the Midnight Buffet on our cruise!?
After 40 years?
Guess it’s still here!

We had broiled Caribbean lobster tails/clarified garlic butter - big 'ole Caesar salad - and baked 'taters

Two HUGE warm water lobster tails were at SAMs Club for about $25/tail. We could only eat 2 each. We actually had "leftover lobster."

IKR! - just like the Unicorn "leftover bacon" - who knew "leftover lobster" could exist!

Cold water lobster tails were about the same price, but significantly smaller.

First off, Mona would love that meal .
She loves her Lobster

At the stores up here the Lobsters are going for $10.99 per pound
or $ 9.50 per pound at the wharf market, but you have to drive for an hour or so to get them.

Always a nice treat for Lovey when I pick them up for her.

A few days late for this, but I fried a turkey, mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus with cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar.

A few pics...

Turkey injected with a combination of unsalted butter, unsalted chicken broth, and a healthy dash of hot sauce. Rubbed with low salt Cajun seasoning...

Roasted asparagus with cherry tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, shredded mozzarella cheese, a little salt & pepper. Roast at 400℉ for about 15 minutes then top with grated parmesan cheese. Back in the oven for just a couple more minutes, balsamic glaze and then top with fresh basil...

The turkey was one I had in the freezer from Christmas that was taking up space and had to go. I hope everyone's Mothers Day was special...
