I received a BGE XL from my entire family for a graduation gift. I smoked my first Butt on it and have made every dish possible with pork this week...I'm almost sick of pork...ok I'm not.

I also made some Pork Chaurice Sausage which came out quite nice.

The butt came out great, smoked for 24 hours with Pecan Wood. Heres a few of the dishes I made with the two items this week.

Pork and Chaurice Creole with potato salad.
Chaurice Sausage and Pulled Pork jambalaya

Wow, it sure didn't take you long to figure out that Egg!
Everything looks fantastic!

Hi there and welcome!

Wow great looking dishes! Keep it up and enjoy it, looks like you are well on your way :)

I’ve always tried to incorporate my smoked meats into other dishes also. It’s wasteful not too! Everything looks great.

24hrs on BGE - you da man. Great job on the food and stamina.

Point for sure.

Thanks a lot! Yea Smoked Chicken pot pie sounds lie a revelation! I agree, smoked pork or any meats go good with anything. I actually use pulled pork more for seasoning other dishes more so than sandwiches, the flavor just goes such a long way.

Wow, the food looks beautiful and delicious. I am right there with you on trying to incorporate smoker leftovers into other dishes
