Big Rub is back love the 14 gal USD mini but could not resist making a little bigger one a 35 gal on, doing a burn in now and fixed all my well some of my mistakes in mimi. I will post some pics. Next one will be a USD mini electric with the 1500watt Cabillios electric retro fit unit in it.. Will try the Harbor Freight Router controller to adjust temp, that someone recommended. Electric element installed. Will test temp with extention cord and with controller and see what temp ranges it gets. Can always but charcoal basket back in

First smoking, pork butt, ran hot to start too many starter coals, will use less next time. I like the size of the 35 gallon drum.

35 gal uds is working fine with charcoal basket. I fabing an electric conversion ( 1500 watt)  with  router controller to try and control temp. Will test out next week.

I  have added a convertion to electric 1500 watts and a router controller to control temp, tested today, range is 150 to 300 deg with extention cord and the controller. Seams like the best of both worlds, elect and charcoal in a 35 gal UDS, I have a flat top and a dome so can smoke  on two shelfs.
