Hey hey my fellow bbq aficionados, Today we celebrated my first born son's 2nd birthday with a Birthday parade. It was awesome and he had a blast. I smoked up 3 good sized pork shoulders that I got on sale at .99 cents/lb a few weeks ago. The shoulders took a whopping 19hrs to get done, but lucky for me my new pit boss pro series was up to the task. This is my first cook on it aside from some jerky i made last week. Worked like charm.
So i rubbed them down with Jeff's rub w/o chilli powder and with the addition of ground mustard. The cook started last night at 7pm and they were done today at 2pm, rested for 2hrs then the sammich assembly line began. Paired them with mac salad, cole slaw and Carolina gold bbq sauce. Alright alright enough jibber jabber and on to the food porn.
