I grilled some Butterball turkey burgers tonight. They were seared on cast iron grates at about 600 degrees.

The burgers were made with:
-caramelized onions in white wine
-Boursin cheese spread on the toasted buns
-arugula
-balsamic reduction

Grilled corn on the side of course.

Bonus: My lunch was meatball sandwiches with fresh mozzarella and parm on King's Hawaiian rolls.

Enjoy

Like Mike said, for the homemade variety you have to season the crap out of them. Were the BBs premade? They look fantastic.

Point for sure

Premade and frozen. Shockingly easy 10 min cook on a weekday night. They were preseasoned but in reality the toppings carry the strong flavor. Toasted buns made it as well.

Wife and I loved them. Definitely making again

I got some wild turkey that I still need to do some experimenting with. This might not be bad if I mix some chicken thighs into the the turkey breast grind, I have other plans for my wild turkey legs and thighs.

Looks great! Alternate burgers beside beef is pretty popular here. Brat burgers are big as well as pizza burgers made with italian mix. It's one of the main reasons I got into sausage making. These burgers are just loose sausage made into patties. Super simple and cheap.

You're headed in the right direction, get some fat in there. Like I said, these alternate burgers are essentially sausage so they need 20% fat to be tasty. I make sausage with chicken thighs and the trick is using the skin.

I used to make brat burgers or various other flavors basically as sliders. I would put about 1lb of my mix into a vacuum bag roll it out to an even thickness and seal it up. Great for camping because you just cut the bag open put on the flattop or grill and then once cooked through cut it into your desired sizes

Did the exact same! We're slider fools here. Won't be long... leftover Thanksgiving turkey sliders! :emoji_laughing:
