Turf and Turf (Chicken and Beef) Smoke

I needed to smoke a package of chicken to shred for my Fantasy Draft Party in a few weeks. Since I could fit them all on one rack of the WSM I grabbed a beef roast to smoke for dinner tonight. The chicken is just straight up since I was running short on time. The beef had JB'S Fatboy Prime Angus Rub.

Straight smoked chicken,interesting. Beef it's what's for dinner for me as well!:biggrin:

I find when I want to pull chicken for sandwiches sometimes just slow smoked chicken is best. Some times I brine it but ran of time for this one.

Finished. Chicken was on for around 3 hours. I pulled the roast after about 2 hours when it hit 129 in internal temp. Grilled up some potatoes to go with the roast.

Great smoke!  I will try that straight up chicken!  The roast is money too!
