To find out that what I had cut off my face 8 weeks was indeed cancerous. And that the lab found some cancer cells on the edge of it....more liquid nitrogen. He noticed 4 more spots on my face and ear. More liquid nitrogen.
Folks, our hobby requires us to be outside....PLEASE PLEASE use caution. Sunscreen, or long sleeves/pants. Big rimmed hats. And visit a dermo, least yearly.
Getting more than slightly alarmed. I lost a chunk of skin on my arm...which messed up a a tattoo. Have had at least 8 problem areas on my head....and I am only 50.

Sorry to her that, hope everything works out for you. Thanks for the head's up and I will be more careful about how much sun I get when smoking!

Chris

Good luck with this. I hope everything works out for the best. The wife and I will be praying for a successful outcome.

Stay cool and stay covered, Joe.

Sorry to hear about the skin cancer.

I guess I'm just lucky, cause I've always worked outside in the Florida sun.

I'm 70 now & still no signs of any skin problems.

Lots of the skin cancers being detected now are the result of skin damage from over exposure 20-30 years ago. I was diagnosed with melanoma 12 years ago, had surgery and a skin graft and Im still here and kicking. I get regular dermotology check ups. I had squamous cell removed from my ear three years ago and I get the top of my head frozen with liquid nitrogen on almost every visit to keep the basal cell cancers in check.
Yes, wear hats and sun screen folks!

Good Luck Brother....thoughts and prayer go out!

Sorry about the bad news.

My father is usually at the doctors every month or so having something removed, he was always in the sun, no hat, no sunblock (fisherman by heart) Dad also had a huge golf ball size melanoma removed from his leg in the 70's, took as third of his leg out, he always tells folks t was a sharkbite lol. Having a part of his ear removed in a few weeks, wants the docs to make his ear pointy like a vulcan...

Mom has had  a few serious operations for skin cancer.

I have hasted being in the sun my whole life, I visit a dermatologist once a year with my wife as well as my siblings. We started having our kids checked yearly as well.

I Always wear my Tilly in the sun but try to avoid the sun altogether, Swim with a shirt on but rarely sunblock either but should, always have long pants on and If on rare occasion I do wear shorts, they say Casper looks tan next to me.

Keep us posted, please!

Hope all works out.  I had about a 7" football size amount of skin removed about a year ago.  It scared the crap outta me because my dad had died of cancer about 5 years prior.  I had found out that it was Basil Cell (SP?) and that it is a pretty common form.  The weird thing, is that it was in the middle of my back, where no sun ever sees.  No skin graft, but the surgeon said if it had gone a bit longer I would have needed it.  Either way, don't let those little moles and weird spots get you.  Go get them checked and taken care of right away, before they get worse.

Hope all turns out well for ya man.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ink.

Sorry to hear of your problems with this.

Sounds like you've caught it and got it under control

now please stay on top of it.

Hang in there, modern medicine and techniques work wonders. You got our Prayer too...JJ

Me and the Wife will be praying for you. Hopefully they will get it all and you wont have any

future problems. When I was young I never wore sunscreen, but probably for the last 15 years

I always put it on if I am going to be outside.

Gary

Prayers from Macungie too, Junkie!!

I had an area removed from the Bridge of my nose a few years ago.

It was Sebaceous Skin Cancer, and they said there was none near the edges of what they took. So far so good since.

Can't hardly see the railroad track there any more.

Doc bitches at me for having a Tan every year since!!
