Well, this is the 6th straight weekend of steady rain here in SW Indiana. Nice all week while I'm at work, then rain on my smoke days. Looks like I'm spending another Saturday reading about everyone elses Q while I look at pictures that make me hungry.

That sucks friend, anyway to put some kinda cover over that smoker? My smoker is right outside my back door, usein it rain, shine or snow. Bout the only time I won't is if it is super cold and blowin like crazy, work outside 10 hours a day so in the winter, can't force myself out there.

Sorry to hear about the not so good weather. Shoot over to a local hardware store, pick a 8X8 tarp, 4 2X2's, some rope and 4 tent pegs. Build your self a small tent to smoke under.
Andy.

Used do that all the time camping only with larger tarps. Works great if it is not storming out.

who cares about the rain, we get that all the time in seattle.

BUT, geezus, we just got hit with 4-5 inches of snow last night, and it's friggin, mid-late april!!!!!!!!!!!!

crap, I put out about 20 pounds of grass seed 2 weeks ago when it was in the low 60's.........

There goes $50 of seeds as I bet it's frozen and shot now...........

Build a covered porch over your deck, best thing I ever did for year around smoking.........

off to build a fire in the house, don't make me post a picture of my smoker under 5" of snow.

I think your grass seed will be ok. I read somewhere that recommends to freeze the seed before planting. It has something to do with the way the grass seed germinates when introduced to warmer temps. (something like that). It was a few years ago.
Andy.

this is what i do when it rains..........

Bright and sunny and a balmy 83 degrees in central NY! Seems like August not April. Six straight days of seventy plus temps and working all day today. No smoke for this guy this weekend.
