Been hot humid and miserable in eastern nc all summer. And seems to rain every day. I sure do miss my 80* Michigan summers

We have had a whole string of 90:lbs plus….have some 98 in the guess cast this week as well…..although this is pretty normal for us, July Aug are usually scored earth!

June and July were brutal. We had this crazy cool spell the first week of August where it didn't get above 75, one day it didn't hit 70. It's rained here every day for about the last 12-15 days. Now that it's hot again the humidity is like swamp ass humidity because everything is soaked, and we are still getting at least a shower every afternoon or night to keep it soaked.

My grass, oy vey..... It's like a hayfield. Back yard is too wet to mow period. I'd sink 3 inches with every step. I managed to knock down the very front of the yard (sides are like the back, grass sitting on mud) Friday but it took me putting the mower as high as it would go. I'll have to knock the back yard into submission with the weed eater if it ever drains. My little push mower would give up the ghost just looking at it.

Note the delicious humidity and it's almost 1am

It has been a little different this year. 2 months of mostly mid 90's with a few 100+ and a couple of high 80's. It is a dry heat though. Humidity is usually in the low teens.

No 105 to 110 days this year so far. The last week has been bad on my asthma with lots of wildfires.

Today was a freezing cold haha 82. I was finally able to give my 4Runner a good wash. It was so dirty since I haven't washed it in months.

Knock on wood, so far our temps have been at least 20* cooler than last summer. Thank God, because I can't handle 105* plus, it kicks my ass.
We get some crazy heat waves until the end of Oct out here, I hope it doesn't happen this yr. Most of our summer has been in the 80s, instead of 105* plus, I'm loving it!!!

Couple of weeks ago we had quite a few days of high humidity and the heat index around 120℉. Then this front moved in and now it rains everyday...and LOTS of rain. I ran several charters where the morning temps were mid 60s in the last couple of weeks. Seems this week we may be getting back closer to normal with afternoon thunderstorms and the temps from mid 70s in the mornings to low 90s in the afternoon...that is until the thunderstorm pops up and cools things down.

$475?? That's seems crazy! That would be the cost for 3-4 months for us...
I mispoke. That is a quaterly water bill. My mistake.

Nuttin like gittin out of yer truck or walkin outside from house and glasses instantly fog!
Every day right? Having a hard time just seeing the steps in the morning 😆

And the lighting strikes have been brutal.
Multiple deaths and injuries in the last couple of months.
Hit 100 yesterday and waiting to see Ms Erin has in store for us.

We've had below normal temps all summer. And a bit above average rainfall. But that's nothing " crazy " here. Just another summer in Oklahoma.

Same here in Alabama...SURPRISINGLY so! Daytime temps hovering around 80 - 85F with an occasional +90F day. While it "has" been wetter than normal, hampering my outdoor work, I'm diggin' it!

Now just watch...right about the time fall "should" arrive, it'll flip and we'll roast until November (which is precisely the reason we can never confidently pack away our seasonal clothes!).

As a fellow Northern California citizen I have been very happy with our "seasonally cool" weather. I'll take it over the years where we were in the 100's in April.

Did our grocery shopping at Safeway there.
And had to keep a look out for the herd of Elk crossing the road.
Nice! We are on the other side of 285, usually hit King Soopers.

How long ago were you there? Was Snowpack here when you were? LOVE Snowpack Taproom.

Lots of days with heat advisories, high temps with high humidity you now normal Florida stuff lol

Last summer about killed me, our AC was on more than it was off.
Our PG&E bill was almost double what it is this summer, and you know how much our bills are out here.

SH, Northern NH is hot, hot and hot. We've had more 90 degree days than the majority of the past 20 summers. The worst part for me is I had scheduled quite a few outdoor home improvement jobs for this summer( including a steel roof). I've lost 10 plus pounds in this heat and it would have been more except for the copious amounts of beer consumed at the end of the day. :)

It's brutal again here . Rained just enough to today to move the humidity from holy crap to what the heck .
Had a new AC system installed in March . Damn happy about that . Hits 98 degrees in the after noon and it actually cycles on and off . I had to turn it up the other day . Pulls so much humidity out of the house I had to put on a sweatshirt .

Humidity has been completely nuts this summer. Takes most of the day to dry out the lawn from all the dew so that you can even mow.
Seems like that fires up storms about every other night also. Mosquitos have just gone bananas lately. Can't take it out in the garden.
