Does anyone else have a Thermoworks DOT and find it’s always off by 10-15°? Ever since I’ve had this thing, it’s always reading 10-15° higher than my MK4. I tested the probes in boiling water once and they were spot on. I even bought a second probe thinking there might be something wrong with the first. Both probes always show 10-15° high during cooks.
Last night when doing my prime rib cook I had two probes from my CyberQ Cloud fan controller, and my DOT probe. Yes, 3 probes for a prime rib might seem overkill but with it being such an expensive cut of meat, I didn’t want to overcook it. My two CyberQ probes were spot on with my MK4 Thermapen. The DOT was registering 15° higher than the other 3 probes. I don’t get it.
