Hello SMF!
I recently had trouble with my yard of my new house needing to be mowed and trimmed etc. So i contacted an old neighbor of mine and asked if he could help me out. His family came out and did a really good job on my yard, trees, and gutters; so i wanted to say thank you with some smoked St Louis spare ribs! I am taking them over tomorrow, here is how they came out today...

rubbed overnight with smoked chipolte rub (Butcher's BBQ)...

I did 3 hours (naked) @~275 -45 min (wrapped) @~250 -25 min (sauced) @~225

my sauce is a homemade sauce i call my #12 sauce....
2 cup of ketchup
2 TBS of butter or margarine
1 TBS of mustard
1/8 cup of worchestershire sauce
1/8 cup of lemon juice
1/8 cup of red wine vinegar
1/8 cup moleasses
4 TBS of paprika
2 tsp of onion power
2 tsp of black pepper
1 cup of turbanado (or brown) sugar

bring to a simmer in sauce pan and let simmer for 20-25 minutes on low heat stirring occasionally. let cool and then refrigerate for a couple of hours to let the flavors marry.

Thanks for looking and hope the recipe helps someone else. thank you in advance for any nice comments and I welcome any questions!

Happy Smoking,

Those turned out great, definitely gonna give #12 a try
I like how they turned out too, thanks! And for #12 like most of my sauces they don't have nay heat. you could use hot paprika and add some cayenne to the mix for heat if you like. I didn't because the ladies here don't like spicy and the ribs have a somewhat spicy rub and i didn't want to over do it for the people I'm cooking the ribs.

YEAP, great job on the ribs! And that sauce recipe gotten me thinking, I might try it.
Thank you yankee and let me know how the sauce turns out if you try it. FYI salt isnt in the recipe because or the Worcestershire sauce. and when i first mixed it together i thought it was really sweet but not much other flavor but my wife said don't mess with it and wait for it to simmer. after i simmered it the flavor had so much more depth so don't get discouraged at first, let it simmer and let the flavors build.

Aaron beautiful color and pullback on those ribs. It's sounds like you live in a nice neighborhood. Where everybody helps everybody out.

Point for sure.

Thanks for the Point. Yea he was a neighbor of mine from last house but we didn't move far. He mowed my lawn at my last house and now he is going to mow my lawn here going forward. He is nice older man and i make him food a few times a year because he helps us out with the yard for next to nothing.
