Howdy fellas, yeah, I'm yet another pesky n00b.

So, beyond my obviously love of grilling, BBQ, brewing, bourbon and smoking succulent meat, I also love cigars, Cuban cigars to be specific.

I'm not really cooking anything this weekend, tho I am brineing a turkey to smoke on Monday.

But, all is not lost, in fact, things are great!

I'm sitting here this afternoon chilling with a slight pour of Elijah Craig and enjoying an H. Upmann Magnum 46 from 2009.

OMG, this is an exquisite cigar. With 7 years of age it has come into its own and is a decadent smoke, to say the least.

So, any one else burning a good stick this afternoon?

In '98 a tobacco shop owner friend treated me to a box of Cuban Montecristo 3's at the Grand Opening of my first and only Restaurant. Been a long time since I enjoyed something that smooth... JJ

A cigar that's tagged PUNCH is what I usually chew on/smoke, but I'm out. Had to have my CR without a good smoke tonight.

I'm sitting on a box of Punch Punch right now, should be in good shape in about another year I'm guessing.

Chef, those Monte 3's can be quite nice if smoked at the right time. Thumbs Up

I think I'll keep this thread alive for awhile.

So I got a small order in yesterday. Some regular production and a couple aged treats.

Some Trinidad Reyes from June 2016, these will need some rest.(three 5 packs)

3 pack of Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills from 2008. Should be ready to burn by say mid-April.

A 5 pack of Cuaba Exclusivos from 2007. They've not produced these in a cardboard 5 pack since 2010.

Oh hey, the mailman likes me.

This is my last order I've been waiting for.

A 50 cab of Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2's.

Nice touch that they included a Boveda packet.

The trip from Hong Kong was obviously a perilous one. The cabinet is busted but thankfully the sticks are all okay.

I was also pleased with the box date on these. December 2015. These should be smoking well in no time.
