I would like opinions on this trailer build. The back end I would like to make a direct grill out of the smaller tank. Which would be better?

I am leaning towards the A. The small tank would actually be the firebox, I was just wondering if anyone has used the firebox as a small grill also?

However you orientate the fire box the majority of the weight needs to be centered, or even better, slightly forward of the axle...You need tongue weight (downward force) to make the trailer run smoothly/safely at highway speeds...HTH

Yes have used a fire box as a grill many times! A 20" X 20" fire box cooks four rib-eyes nicely..
