We just had our first run at breakfast sausage and more importantly....brauts. My question to you sausage makers is......can the excess casings be saved for a future after we have soaked and rinced the outsides. They have not been rinced inside.

Can I mix up a heavy salt water mixture or straight salt, and save them.

Yeah just dry them good and pack in salt, (not Iodized table salt) then store it the frig till ya need them again

what Dan said but i use pure salt.

Nepas and Dan our two of our sausage masters here.

Lots of salt or a brine heavy in salt.

Good luck and good smoking.
