To me, the Rumble finish was a bit of a shocker. If Roman had had some of that ramen he might have rumbled a little longer in the Rumble.

That Owens bump had me all up in kayfabe for a while.

My buddies son was a marine and was stationed in Okinawa. While there, he developed a taste for the local ramen, and he's made some very good versions at home now.

Justin I don't do the WWE either , but I would sit through it if that what I got as a treat.
Looks and sounds great

David

I'd join the cage match for a bowl of that 😋

I haven't watched wrestling since it was the WWF and Randy Macho Man Savage was still in it. That goes back to the early 80s for me.

The ramen looks great. I had to figure out a way to make it at home since I don't travel as much as I used to. I was lucky enough to find a recipe for the insta-pot that my wife and i really like.

Love it, Justin!! These are flavors that we really like!!

The plate at the end looks delish. My wife and niece would love it.

Looks great! I'm a closet WWE viewer lol. I grew up watching wrestling as a kid but didn't watch for many years. Brother got me into it last year. It's like a giant sports entertainment soap opera and I do enjoy it usually. I was amazed the put Jey Uso over Cena

Wow! My kind of soup.

Good looking bowl! That surely got slurped up quickly.

Your shepherd pie looks great! It's my favorite also and I bet your dad enjoyed it too. Good to hear he is doing better.

Looking at this thread last night made me go to the store and get the ingredients to make myself one.

Thanks all for the kind words and likes. We were surprised at the ending too!

Hey all! As some of you know my son is a HUGE fan of both WWE and Ramen. Well, last night was the WWE Royal Rumble… so I figured why not make it a ramen dinner for him to enjoy during the event.

Sorry for the lack of pics… but started some broth with some shrooms, carrots and onions.
Let that simmer for about an hour and a half.
The broth reduced down and the veggies really soaked up some flavor! Added in a couple cups of water.

Put some eggs in the sous vide… sorry no pic! And also had seasoned up a pork tenderloin with some Kinders All Purpose… let that marinade for a couple hours. Browned it up in some EVOO and then into the oven at 375* for 15 minutes.

After the tenderloin was out of the oven and resting, added the Udon noodles and peeled the eggs which are fresh from our chickens. BTW, fresh eggs are so tasty… much better than store bought hands down.

Sliced the tenderloin and getting things together for bowling up!

Bowled up just in time for the second half of the event… which was our plan. Ramen is done… bowled!

With some pork tenderloin slices, egg, sprouts and a bit of onion greens for a garnish!

This is our second time making homemade ramen and making progress… still some improvements I want to make… but overall it was a success and Pete loved it! That’s what matters to me!

Was a very fun boys night in with my son! Enjoyed the show, company and the food!

Thanks for looking all!
Looks great, did you start off the broth with chicken broth or water? I've been toying with the idea of making homemade Pho but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Thanks! Started with two containers of chicken broth… let simmer and reduce down for about an hour and a half for the veggies to soak up some flavor. Then added in 2 cups of water.

We have made this a handful of times now and improving each go around. For the noodles we use Udon in the package. I have thought of making our own, but haven’t tried that yet. The Udon work very well though.

Well, hell froze over. I've been telling my buddy here at work that it was coming since the Rumble but I expected a slower burn with a frustrated Cena. Never figured it would be so, well, damn good. That man went full Terminator in a split second.

Gave up on wrestlefesting years ago but keep trying to get the daughter to get away from the cheap arse ramen and doctor it up to be good. I'll definitely show her your version to get her thoughts moving.

Ha, I walked by the Crayster traps the other day and thought the same!

Have the Thermos and traps ready… 😉
Just need some warm and clean water!!!! NOT inch of snow we got yesterday! We will need some good eats after setting 20 traps!!!

I haven't watched wrestling in years. Back in the late 70's, early 80's, a gang of us would go to the Cow Palace, in San Francisco, on Friday nights. The ring master wore a pink tux. He'd start the night with: "Are you ready to rumble!"

Of course it came out more like: arrrrrr you readieieieie to ruuuummmble!

Sound like you had a great night. The ramen looks great. Sounds like a great bowl to have on a chilly night. Take care of that son. They are special.
