Cold days suppers, Large SS Meatballs and Pork Stroganoff

First off, way to cold and windy for me to go outside to cook or smoke.

Because I'm getting old and whiny, but thats me, lol

First day made some sweet and sour meatballs, large and full of flavour.
- added chrushed pineapple, onions and celery, and reg. spices SPG and some chili power and cumin and a touch of cardamom and chopped toasted bread. 2 eggs

- all mixed and formed into large balls and into the oven to brown and bake. While in the oven made a good size pot of my sauce. When meat balls were up to cooked temp, put in pot to simmer while I made the rice with fried eggs.

Yesterday made a big pot of Pork Stroganoff.

- cut up the pork in small bite size pieces, powered them up with frour and spices, fried into hot oil in small batches.

Let that all simmer down for a bit, and added the pork.
Boiled up the pasta and left it seperate from the main pot, so you can just add pasta to plate and cover with the sauce.

Just when ready to serve I added the sour cream and blended slowly.

Ha Ha , I don't know what happened to the final plate picture that I always add.
I will add tonight after my supper of leftover for me. lol

Add picture here ........lol sorry

Glad you followed if you did.

Our 2 day meals for our cold stretch, plus lots of fresh cookies and tarts.

A LOT OF FINE EATS THERE DAVID, AT LEAST YOU WON'T STARVE WHILE YOU'RE FREEZING!

Those 2 meals look excellent, David. I have a boneless pork loin in the fridge that I'm considering cutting into chops and smoking just like Adam @pc farmer did, but only if the weather let's me out. I have everything here so the pork stroganoff is a perfect backup plan that may get moved to the front of the line...

Nice! Looks like one heckuva meal! I feel some sweet and sour coming on myself.

Some good looking chow David. You had me drooling up until you added the schrooms.

Point for sure
Chris

Thankfully I continued reading your post. At first I thought you were cooking up some stainless steel meatballs.

That is a unique stroganoff recipe. I have never pre cooked my meat in that fashion.
Meatballs sound great

Nicely done! A good way to spend time indoors!

Thanks for the like and the comment

And yes it has been bitter cold around here off and on for awhile now.
And a couple hot meals to warm us up was good.

Yes they were good meals , and I hope the weather was good for you to do your smoked chops, but a nice stroganoff is always a treat also. With this weather there have been a few back up plans come into affect.

The SS meatballs were hard on the teeth , lol Funny after I typed that I was wondering if anyone would think that . That is why I spelt it out later.

Good meals , and the pork for the stroganoff was very nice , almost deep fried battered, made it very tender. I could have just ate the pork like that . But was also good in the stroganoff.

David

Thats a lotta good stuff! Nice work!

It was a couple very nice meals on these COLD days in the exterior areas.

Thanks John for the comment

That was just sort of a off the cuff stroganoff, first time for me to fry the pork up first for it . And normally beef.
I was seeing a few meals on here that were floured then fried, so tried it with the pork. Came out very tender.
