Not sure if it's Kroger all around or just 'Pick n Save' but their store brand cheese was 1.79 a block. I got 8 blocks for a hair over 14 bucks and cold smoked them today.

Last minute x-mas gifts plus restocking my dwindling supplies!

If so, that is a really good deal.

Fred Meyer stock's Kroger brands. So I'll have to swing bye the cheese isle and see if I can find it on sale.

Ha! I wish! Naw, just the 8 ouncers, but it's not a bad price either way.

Sadly they only had 2 blocks of pepper jack left when I was there. So my end amount was 4 blocks of Extra sharp cheddar <that's 2 pounds or darn close> and 2 blocks pepper jack, 2 blocks mozz. So all told that's 4 pounds of cheese for 14 and a hair bucks.
