Details are a bit hazy since I did another pork butt three weeks ago, but I forgot to post the results.

Acquired the pork butt from Peoria Packing in Chicago (my go-to butcher for meat now, it's ridiculously cheap). I went a bit smaller on this one, think it was only six or seven pounds. Rubbed it down with a variation of Oklahoma Joe's rub.

If I remember correctly, it went about 15 or 16 hours at 225°. Smoked with 50/50 mix of cherry and hickory. Now, the Qview.

The rig (including the awesome AMNPS), right after smoking was finished:

Got really good bark formation without any foiling this time:

My little bundle of joy after an hour long rest:

All shredded up:

That is some great looking pulled pork! How did the mix of hickory and cherry turn out?
I personally love the mixture. Gives a great classic/sweet smoke flavor to it. (Granted, I haven't tried other woods so far, just a few different mixtures of hickory and cherry.)
