So going on a spree and getting rid of the mediocre stuff.

Next up is a slow cooker/pressure cooker and have been eyeballing the Instant Pot®️ brand Pro Multi-Use Cooker. It's just the two of us so the decision comes down to 6qt or 8qt.

Feedback from anyone who owns a multi-cooker especially on the the Instant Pot®️ brand. It's an ATK best pick but still wouldn't mind hearing from others.

We have the ninja air fryer/instapot and just got the Ninja Foodie Possiblecooker which is a fancy crockpot. Used it for sous vide this weekend and it worked great. Love them both.

Bought the 6qt Instant Pot
Geez ,,, I was gonna tell you how much I love my 6qt. Instant pot , but I'm to slow . Lol .
Good choice Norm . You'll love it .
Works wonders for a lot of things . I do brisket flats in it for taco meat , same with pork roasts .
I use mine all the time . I actually have 2 of them .

We have a knockoff instapot from casori. We use it a lot but it occasionally has issues sealing for pressure. Next time I go for the name brand. I would not be without some kind of these, we use it for a bunch of cooking.

You'll like that! We have one as well... probably don't use it often enough. My wife runs it mostly so probably knows way better on it's uses then me.

I've had the Crockpot Express 10 quart a few years now and am satisfied with it. My wife, however, hates the thing. She says it has too many buttons, confusing her and got herself an old school crockpot to cook with. lol

I was, like, press the slow cook button, select high or low, adjust cook time if necessary, and hit start. Nope, she hates the thing and will not use it lol.

I don't use the pressure cook function much, but what I really like about these cookers is that you can use it to sear/brown your meat before slow cooking for chili or stews. It saves having to do that part on the stove, which creates another pan to wash.

I'll tell you how much she hates it. She refuses to wash the pot out of it, which is like washing a small stockpot, when I use it. She'd rather fight the big oval liner from a regular crockpot in the sink.

We have the one from Pampered Chef. Never have used it, but need to, it’s 6L so about 6qt. But it’s a nice platform, slow cook, sear, pressure cook or SV. All in one is handy for sure.

The pressure cook feature got me to buy mine, but I really find the brown/sear feature most useful.

You can brown the meat and then slow cook all in the same pot, which you can't do in traditional crockpots.

Like others have said Norm, I'm sure you will like your new 6 qt. Instant Pot. We've had ours for a few months now and it has pretty much replaced the Crock Pot. Thousands of really good recipes out there and it's a great rice cooker also.

I have a 4 qt cossori for the camping trailer, an 8 qt instant pot pro for main home cooking, an older 6 qt bluetooth instant pot for our snowbird digs. I like the 8 qt for making stews, soups and cheesecakes, just don't get enough leftovers with the 6 qts. My SO won't get rid of the slow cooker yet, but is getting close to giving up on it I think.

IP 6qt. for two of us. It will hold 4-5 lb of ribs. Done in 15 minutes. Under broiler for 4 minutes. Eating in less than 30 minutes

Make back ribs in it/spare ribs in it/mac&chs in it AND sous vide steak in it.

We have a foot of snow so my WSM doesn't get much love in the winter.

Can you tell I love using it?

We have the 8qt instant pot, use it all the time. It is 4 of us but even then we appreciate putting leftovers away for another day and the extra room means more versatility. Even on e we get down to 2 it'll get good use.

Caution, we originally gave our crockpot away thinking the instant pot could replace it but it can't, just not the same so it pressure cooks exclusively and we ended up with another crockpot.
