My kids and grandkids came home to visit...

Duke is just a little guy!

And speaking of Bella... one of our friends came for a visit last summer, brought her dog Bella along.

First time ever being on the farm. She was instantly my pal and followed me everywhere.

Her and our Dobie became best friends. Don't know how to put videos on here but a Doberman and a pug chasing each other around is mighty funny!

As it should be Steve.

We had dog beds in every room of the house and toys everywhere when they were into that.

He has three. So far. One he can drag around. One in his soft crate. Which he loves going in for his nap breaks. And to play. And one for the camper. Oh. And one huge one. Our bed! He is awesome with night time. Goes up with us. And sleeps the night through. Though at 5am or so. He'll let me know he's ready to get up by licking/nibbling my ear! With Ann. He licks her face. Still an occasion wetting accident. Getting there though.

Ha Ha , that is great Steve about the soft crate, accidents will happen, but soon he will get it right.

As for the bed, that is were our 3 slept everynight, but they did not take up too much room. lol

I'm happy he likes it. In the next few weeks I'll start closing the flap once in awhile.

we had one of those beds for the girls, it was great as it would fold right down . And had lots of air flow for them if we had to zip it up for safety or what ever reason.

We just gave a lot our pet items to the pet shelter in town. And this was one of them.

Mona is still having a very tough time with losing our last girl.

We know how you. And Mona feel. On the way to pick Wally up. I started having second thoughts. I'm pretty sure Ann was as well. But, when we saw Wally coming into the hotel lobby. Our hearts melted.

Yes it is a very hard tug at the heart, to not have another new family member. But I know that once she ( and I ) saw a new one we would Love it completely.

I have a wierd emotion going on in my head and heart that I am doing a dishonor to Gabby if I loved a new dog. I know that sounds very stupid , but I loved her that much. And she has been gone for a couple , 3 years .

Plus I know if I / we got another pet. It most likely would outlive me, and I always worried what would become of them if something happened to us. No one would take the same care as we do, that is just how I think.

I guess I am struggling with this also. :emoji_disappointed:

We thought the same. Two of our kids could take him if this should happen. He met one of our kids already. And liked him.
