Saw an episode of DD&D a couple weeks ago that featured a place reasonably near me that was run by a Jersey native and had pork roll on the menu. I thought this would be my chance to try what Bear had talked about in the past. Alas, I learned that the place had closed since the episode had first aired.
I had me a nice thick Pork Roll sandwich The other day Scallops are in the freezer LIKES

Bear, Those look like some tasty sammies !
Wow that looks good!
That is a great plate Bear! The Mrs won't let me bring bologna in the house much less fry it! I'll see if I can find pork roll, I've never heard of it.

Always looks good . I'm gonna roll out and get some Pork roll tomorrow .
Nice looking meal. I don't think I have ever seen pork roll around here. Kind of reminds me of spam. You need to open a restaurant...I'll be your best customer!!:D:D

Pork Roll - The holy grail of sausage making. I've made Len Poli's recipe before. It's real close to Taylor Ham.
Thank You Pete!!!
Hey did you get any of that Snow???
I heard the higher altitudes of Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho got a couple inches already----IN AUGUST !!!
And Thanks for the Like.

No snow yet thank goodness - just lots of smoke from the fires and relatively warm temperatures with almost no rain.
Bear,
On my travels though PA, I have stopped at Dietrich's Meats & Country Store in Krumsville just off I-78. Doesn't appear to be too far from you. Have you been there and more important, have you tried their pork roll? It's different from the NJ Taylor Ham but I found it to be really good. They also have really good bacon.
