If I have a hot grill available afterwards, then no I'll keep it on. If I'm doing them in the oven and then broiler, I'll pull it off .
Don't laugh, my last oven ribs were pretty dang good!
I always leave it on. You can burn it off on a hot grill to finish the ribs, or it will pull off very easily when the ribs are done, just before slicing them up. My opinion is it holds all the natural juices in the ribs & makes for a juicier end product!
