Pink hog casings??????

Hello all, Just dumped a hank of hog casings out to rinse them and there is a PINK hue to them???

Any thoughts????

Never have seen this before. I tried a different supplier than usual, should have known better, not to mention they have all the stings on them as well.

Yeah I've ended up with them once. I don't remember where I got them now, but I did the same thing.
They're safe to use, but I couldn't get over their pink hue.

Been a while since i have seen any pinkish hog casings.
Like Dan said they are safe>>>Unless they are really stanky and slimy.

Thanks guys. I will not chance it. I ordered more from my usual vendor yesterday. Just going to use what I have left over for this weekends sales. Not going to make as much but I am not going to compromise my products.
