Good morning all!! I use exclamation points because I am very happy this morning. Was up at 2 am, running tests on my mes 30 with the new PID from Auber. I'll start off by saying I was fortunate to have a friend who is an appliance technician. He had one question.. "Whadya want dis thing ta do?" ( He's a South Philly transplant living in Elkton, MD) He rewired the mes with a simple double male connector, so there was no cutting, splicing at all. I'll be repaying him with some beef ribs smoked today on this very mes we speak of.
Anyway, very happy with the temperatures that the PID is holding. I have PID set for 250°, thermpro at 260° so I don't have to hear that thing going off . Three different therm Pro sensors inside the box and it's holding +/- 4° of each other. Hell of a sight better than those 30 degree temperature swings without.

It's always good to have knowledgeable friends. That looks like a very clean job. Enjoy.

Which Auber PID did you get? With the WS-1510ELPM I've been running it in P mode. P=1, I=0 and D=0. It stays on full power till one degree below set point then flashes for 50%. It'll over shoot 5 degrees on preheat or opening the door but I like it on full power instead of coming out of full power way before set point. Then pulsing power for 50% output one degree below set point keeps it a couple degrees within set point. I like it better than the default setting and autotune.

I got the 1211 GPH. I'm not real familiar with everything you just said there. LOL
I downloaded the quick reference guide (bunch of gibberish to me) I farted around with it and I think I managed to set one recipe to the recall . Who knows.. I have it hummin at 250 with some beef ribs in the mes. Good enough for me, for now

I did the default setting minutes for programming temp durations and finally just set it in single mode so it just stays on till I flip the switch off and hit set to adjust the temp. It's nice it comes back on if the electricity goes out.

It's great when you know somebody who knows how to do things you don't. When I was in the Cabinetmaking business, I had buddies in every home building field. Hoping it works Great for you!!

BTW: Elkton, MD rings a bell to me. That was the town everybody in my home town went to if the wanted to Elope. I guess they had less rules than most towns.
