well here is where the little smoker stands today 

needs shelves perhaps some cabinet style doors

and paint definitively paint (soon as weather allows sandblasting )

also the whole glue on gasket thing FAIL

I pop riveted it on the second time worked great

Yeah,I tried that black stuff before, started coming off right away. Use the red RTV. I've had some on a smoker door gasket three years or so with no problem.
