I joined this group back in 2016 to get information on building a smoker and learned a lot more than just building a smoker. Also learned a lot about cooking different thing on it. The last time I was on there was back in 2020. So, I figured I would start back at Roll Call. My full name is Phillip but just using Phil for this group. The Fire in my username is from me being a Volunteer FF of 27 years now and counting. In 2016/17 I posted about my smoker build. A 250gal tank on a trailer that I stopped posting in May of 17. Then in 2020 my World turned upside down and got very dark for way too long. But now things are starting to slow down, and I can see some light coming my way. I had forgot my password and with the help of Brian Mudd, I got it changed tonight at work and logged on for the first time in 6 years. In the beginning I got a lot of help an Info from this group, especially from 2 men I remember one as Dave and the other one was Al. Hoping to see or hear from them again. I just want to help others as they helped me. And to testify to how good the calculations are they came up with to building my RF Smoker. When I learn to post pictures again. I will update my smoker build and share some of my Cooks.

Welcome back. Life gets rough sometimes. daveomak is missed. Al is around, just not as much.

Glad to have you back! Dave was a big help to alot of people here. Only Al I know of is @SmokinAl if that's who you're thinking of.

Welcome back, yep Dave is missed as are others that have passed.

Happy You're back and hope the dark times are safely behind you.
My father was a volunteer FF for over 45 years. I'm going to stretch it and thank you for your service now that first responder's are universally recognized. Son is 6 years as a full time FF

I want to thank you as well for your time as a volunteer fire fighter! As living in a rural part of Iowa, that's all we have in our area. And thankful of their response this past January when I was in an explosion. What you guys do is amazing! And I'm sure most times underappreciated. So Thank You!
