Our little girl is 1 yr old

Just wanted to say our little girl just turned 1 yr old today!

Her name is kya, originally my wife looked up some names and kaya sounded good...it translated to "pure", but spelling got changed a little bit. But still fitting cuz she is pure...puppy, obnoxious, ornery, and probably most of all...pure toddler! But we love her to death anyways. Should never forget her birthday cuz she's a st patties day birthday. Asked my wife about a month ago if she gets a green beer on her birthday " absolutely not" was her response. Sadly my wife couldn't be here with us to celebrate but I sent many pics to her.

But her cousins sent their birthday wishes

Duke on the left ( he turned 1 around Christmas, great dane) and diesel on the right ( he's 9, lab/mastiff) my daughter and sil dogs, they are her new work from home buddies for awhile.

We love em! Kya is our 2nd dobie, we put Angel down a year ago January. She was a red, still makes me teary eyed.

Kya is the big one in the back. Photo is deceiving cuz she was kinda small. But her mom had all 4 colors, black, red, blue, and white Dobie's. Mom was black, dad was white. How they got those 10 pups to pose like that still amazes me!

I'm picking up my new pup (Labrador Retriever) April 5th. Her name is Sadie.

I guess I will start hunting again. Gave it up when my Black Lab Molly died.

Sorry about your loss, but also glad you're getting another...great thing spending time hunting with them. Our 13 yr old is named sadie...lab/weimaraner mix

You got a pretty Girl there. One year olds are so much fun. They are big enough to do damage but still very much in Puppy Mode. My one Boy, 70lb, Pit/Boxer mix, is such a character. He is very gentle with the women in the house but plays Hard with me. We get to wrestling around and the next day my arms are covered in bruises from him gnawing on them. The boy has some powerful jaws, even so young. Got to love 'em...JJ
