Hello everyone!
So as was discussed briefly in another thread, I am getting a new smoker. After looking a few others (such as Yoder) I am sticking with Lang. Lang makes great smokers and i know what i am getting and how well it cooks. I am buying a Lang 48 patio on a 4 wheel patio cart. so here is a pic off the website. Its the patio deluxe 48 on a the cart, my smoker will not have the warmer box.

My wife has already named her. we say its a her because she calls my smoker my mistress. so the name for my new mistress is Lucy. Its wonderful to have a wife who supports you having a mistress! I will add my own pic in a few weeks when i take delivery. thanks for looking!

Happy Smoking,

Sweet. I like it. what wheels are you getting

I am getting the (4) 8" pneumatic tires with a front handle and swivel axle in the font. (the upgraded patio cart as in the picture). I considered a trailer model, but decided for the extra money I'm not going to take my smoker anywhere and if i need to move her i can rent a motorcycle trailer form the U-haul down the street.

Awesome, I would have bought the 48, but I really don't have the room in my backyard.
And I mostly cook for Judy & myself. If I need more space I still have the trusty Smoke Vault 24, and my WSM with a Guru setup. Along with a MES 40. So I probably have enough equipment to smoke for 50 people or more!

Awesome looking cooker! That's the exact one I want, however, up until now, I figured I would get the trailer version for mobility/competition cooks. But, your logic makes more sense. I have a trailer so could bring it places when necessary.

That is one fine looking mistress Phatbac...congrats!!

Nice, very very nice. Looking forward to seeing it in action.

thank you all for the compliments. now is the worst part, waiting! i have a few weeks before i ahve my money to apy for it something i like is that you don't pay for it until its built then shipping cost is COD. so i know within a few weeks i will have the money for a new smoker i can go ahead and put it in the queue!

as i was telling flat broke:
i called and talked to Benjamin Lang (the Son) and he explained the difference between the base patio cart and the wagon wheel cart($300 upgrade). I got the $300 upgrade i was going to get a deluxe but it was $500 extra and for that i can make my jerky on my WSM. I also considered stainless steel racks but that was another $295 so i passed that too. SO, i ended up with the 48 patio with the wagon wheel cart.

Congrats on one awesome looking rig.

I've been thinking about getting a smaller pit, and Lang is definitely on my list. Keep going back and forth between the 36 and 48. Already have a 250 gal RF on a trailer, so I'm leaning towards the 36.
