I picked up a set of tentacle grabbers from Keith. Been too busy with work and life to use them. So to make myself feel better I got out the minitisserie to make sure they fit. They do! Now I just need a few hours of time at home so I can really test them out.maybe tomorrow will be my lucky day.

Before I buy, I need to make a larger roti pit, mine now wouldn't work with the Octo set.
Case has his on a mini????

Yep using it on the mini, my 18 WSM and of course over the open fire pit.

Using my grizzly spit rotisserie.
I use my barrel.

I want to see how they work on the mini.

Charcoal I assume.

That's funny I just sized them with my mini yesterday.  I gotta figure out a motor bracket and get a new tamale steamer from Walmart.

I might have to do something like that.  I'm going to borrow a motor bracket I have off a drum I don't use and see if the distance is enough.  If the motor gets too hot I'll make one but don't think it should.   I'm gonna do open top spinning in the mini I think.

Thinking about mounting about 3" down and still be able to use the lid.

Mine doesn't get hot, but it is offset 5" or there about.  It does get a little warm. the mini radiates quite a bit of heat being closer to the fire.

I have run mine closed and open topped. I can't remember how far down mine is 4"? Or why I choose that particular spot.

I just measured and I'm pretty confident 3" below the lip is good.  That'll clear above my diffuser as well if I use one.

More cool stuff!

I'm spending my kids inheritance on new toys!

Measured mine and it's set at 4" below the rim.

When I'm cooking with a closed top I use high temp duct tape to seal the slots. Works great.
