Newbie In Orleans France (I'm American though)

Hello all,

          Well this is just the coolest site I have seen! I was born and raised in Mid Michigan then moved to Chicago for 5 years. I also spent a year abroad in Chihuahua, chihuahua mexico (learned a lot about grilling there also) Now I live in Orleans France. Amazing since Butchers are everywhere and I get all my meat fresh the day of and can freeze if i want same with my produce. I am in central france. I can afford a grill or smoker but been looking into the DIY smokers and I really want to my wife is into building it also and I know we can do some cool ones. I am a chef at heart and cook everyday. Cant wait to get started!

Love it here Father in Law lives in Brittany so fresh seafood hand picked from the ocean! Cant beat it. European life is a lot more laid back than USA, I love it here but takes some getting used to for sure!
