Hi from SW Okla. Been smoking for years on a homemade smoker I made from 20" heavy wall pipe. Traveled a lot for work so I didn't get to cook as much as I wanted but fired it up every time I got home. Plan to do a lot more now that I'm semi-retired.

Welcome to the site.  Congratulations on your semi retirement.

I look forward to reading about your smoking projects.

Thank you. Glad I stumbled onto this site! I've got a couple of pork roasts on right now. Never did a roast before but they were just setting around in the freezer so I thought I'd give it a shot.

  Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a warm sunny day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Pork roast came out perfect! Wife made homemade potato salad, homemade baked beans, and homemade coleslaw. You can't go out an buy a better meal.

Sounds like the proverbial "meal fit for a king" but keep in mind;
