Native south west Texan. Now living Arizona. Yes i am in the BBQ smoker business! I see as many as 30-40 smokers a month and talk with as many pit masters on a daily basis. They always share a lot smoking wisdom because of their love of BBQ. I restore old smokers as a hobby mostly wood fired non electric types. I am restoring a 1968 J&R Manufacturing wood fired 500 pound smoker. It will be added to my collection of old smokers when completed.

Welcome from Iowa! Would love to see some pics of some of your smokers.

old school J&R smoker before restoration. Final Pic will be posted in about six weeks when completed!
